    India's Pharmavision 2020: Ms.Pratibha Parkar, Consul General met Mr. Simon Sturge, Chief Operating Officer, Merck Healthcare at Merck Headquarters in Darmstadt. Merck KGaA is celebrating 350 years anniversary and has recently announced a new project on Manufacturing and Distribution Centre for the Life science business in Patalganga Industrial Area, India. CG discussed with Mr Sturge Merck's India Operations and future expansion plans.

    A rare opportunity to connect with spirituality. Sri Sri Ravishankarji visited Frankfurt & delivered a discourse to the Indo-German fraternity. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar & diplomatic corps from the Frankfurt region welcomed Guruji on the auspicious occasion and participated in meditation session. Around 900 persons from all over Germany attended the event in Gesellschaftshaus Palmengarten.

    On 25th April, Secretary for Department of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises (India), Dr. A.R. Sihag and Director, Ms. Ritu Pande visited the PTW: Institut für Produktionsmanagement, Technologie und Werkzeugmaschinen Werkzeugmaschinen followed by a tour of the ETA Fabrik at the Technische Universität Darmstadt. The visit was organised in coordination with Confederation of Indian Industry, EEPC INDIA as part of a delegation visit as part of their Mission on Smart Manufacturing to Germany.

    CGI organized Students’ Open House for Indian students studying at various universities in Germany on 27th April at its premises in Frankfurt. The main concern of the students after the completion of the studies is looking for a job. The Open House this time addressed this concern, which is a bi-annual event since 2014. The objective of the event is to provide the students with a platform to openly discuss their study, work and life in Germany as well as to give them an opportunity to share their experiences among each other. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the students and encouraged them for regular interactions to know more about their problems and suggestions.

    Indra Dhanush-‘Farbenfrohes Indien zu Gast in Kelkheim’ On 28th April, 2018 the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt, organized a colourful spectrum of cultural diversity with Indian music, traditional and modern dances, handicraft and food in the town of Kelkheim. The objective was to bring together artists performing Indian form of art and present them to the international audience to promote interest for Indian art and culture. The event was inaugurated by Ms. Pratibha Parkar, Consul General, Mr. Wolf D.Hasler, Head of city council Kelkheim and Mr. Albrecht Kuendiger, Mayor of Kelkheim. Around 600 people attended the event and applauded the performances.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar visited the Raja Yoga Meditation school by Brahma Kumaris in Frankfurt and met Didi Sudesh, who is the Director of all the BKWSU centers in Germany and in Europe. CG invited the Raja Yoga Meditation school for participating at the 4th International Day of Yoga celebration organised by the Consulate on 23rd June, 2018 at Walther-von-Cronberg-Platz Frankfurt. The Raja Yoga Meditation school gives the space, together with others, to experience and practice deep silence, calm mind, and consciously direct thoughts.

    The first preparatory meeting of International Day of Yoga was held at the CGI Frankfurt premises on 23rd March 2018. CGI Frankfurt is very excited to work with our partners towards the fourth IDY2018, which will be celebrated on 23rd June 2018 on Walter von Cronberg Platz, closer to River Main in Frankfurt!
