    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met and interacted with the prize winners of Quiz in the Indien Newsletter for January 2018. She appreciated the prize winners for their participation and for staying connected to the Consulate's outreach activities through social media networking

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar attended the a Students Open House organised by the Indian Students Association Bonn-Cologne on 3rd February in Bonn. The coordinator of the event Mr. Dnyaneshwar Kapote welcomed the gathered students. CG presented the opening remarks for the event. A presentation on job opportunities in Germany was also made by Bluebilities GmbH. Around 40 Indian students attended the workshop

    As part of the commercial and political outreach of CGI Frankfurt, Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar held talks with Ms. Heike Raab, State Secretary in the State Chancellery of Rhineland-Palatinate and Plenipotentiary for Federal and European Affairs, for Media and Digital Affairs of the Land of Rhineland-Palatinate and discussed initiatives regarding Digitalisation undertaken by the Government of India

    On the same day, Consul General also met Ms. Elvin Yilmaz, Head, Foreign Trade Department of the Chamber of Commerce, Rheinhessen and discussed possibilities of strengthening business engagement between Indo-German companies in the Rheinhessen region

    From 8th-12th February, Hobn’ble Minister of State for Textiles, Shri Ajay Tamta led a delegation comprising of Secretary (Textiles) Shri Anant Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) Shri Shantmanu and others for the Ambiente Trade Fair 2018 held in Frankfurt from 9th-13th February 2018. As part of the Trade fair, Hon’ble Minister inaugurated the India Pavillion of Indian exhibitors organised by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) and interacted with Indian and international exhibitors participating at the Fair. An India Evening on 'India - A profitable Destination for Sourcing Handicrafts' was organised on 9th February. Over 200 exhibitors attended the event. As part of the visit, Hon’ble Minister and CGI Frankfurt officials visited two companies, namely, Low & Bonar in Fulda and Karl Mayer GmbH in Obertshausen, pioneers in the field of technical textiles and textile machinery. Hon’ble Minister and other delegates also had a meeting with the Executive Board Members of Frankfurt Messe and discussed future areas of cooperation in the coming year
