    Consulate General of India, Frankfurt celebrated Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas on 10th January 2018 in Frankfurt. The occasion was graced by Hon'ble Minister of Textiles, Information& Broadcasting Smt. Smriti Zubin Irani. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the assembled gathering and complimented on the efforts and achievements of the Indian community in Germany

    Hon'ble Minister for Textiles & I&B visited Frankfurt from 9th -10th January for the Heimtextil Fair held in Frankfurt from 9th-12th January 2018. The India Pavilion, was inaugurated by the Smt. Smriti Irani, hosting India as the second largest participating country at the Fair.

    CGI Frankfurt celebrated the World Hindi Diwas on 12th January 2018 at the Consulate premises. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the Hindi enthusiasts present during the occasion and thanked the dignitaries for their guidance and support. From the City of Frankfurt, Mr. Stephan Siegler graced the occasion and emphasised the need to encourage and promote one's mother tongue and national language in an international environment. Dr. Ajit Singh Sikand recited compositions from several renowned Hindi poets to mark the day. Prof. Indu Prakash Pande and Mrs. Heidemarie Pandey, non native speaker of Hindi recited a poem in Hindi on the occasion. Members from the audience recited self composed poems or compositions by other Hindi poets.

    Consul General Mrs Pratibha Parkar visited the art museum Liebighaus in Frankfurt. She was received by Mr. Vinzenz Brinkmann, a German classical archaeologist and Head of Antiquities Collection of Liebighaus

    Consul General Mrs Pratibha Parkar attended a brainstorming session on German economy and polity and ways to enhance cooperation between India and Germany with the Indian business community. The key note speaker was Dr. Lutz Raettig, Chairman of Supervisory Board of Morgan Stanley Bank.
