CGI Frankfurt commenced a cleanliness campaign 'Swachhta hi Sewa' towards creating an environment of cleanliness in the Chancery premises from 15th September till 2nd October 2017, the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Consulate celebrated Hindi Diwas on the 21st Sept, 2017 by organising Quiz , Essay & Poetry Competitions in the Consulate premises. The Consulate officials as well the members of Indian Diaspora showed great interest in this Program.

Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met representatives from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ) at the Consulate. The discussions revolved around current GIZ collaborations in India in the fields of renewable energy, sustainable development and cooperation towards the Namani Gange project in India and so on.

The Winners of September Quiz, featured in the Indien Newsletter, were felicitated at the Consulate General of India Frankfurt by Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar.

Navratri celebrations were organised by the Indische Gemeinde Düsseldorf e.V. in Düsseldorf. Head of Chancery Consul, CGI Frankfurt, Mr. Prem Singh Chauhan attended the celebrations and wished the Bengali community and members of the Indian diaspora a happy Durga Puja festival!

CGI Frankfurt is organising Yoga Classes thrice a week from 1745 - 1830 hrs at the Consulate. Currently the classes are as part of a pilot programme initiated by the Consulate and therefore will run until end of November, free of charge. The classes are conducted by Dr. Sarita Gupta from India. Dr Gupta has taught Yoga for almost a decade in several institutions and is a general Practitioner with over 20 years of professional experience.

The Rhein Main Bengali Association organised a Durga Pooja on the occasion of the 9 day festival Navratri. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar & Consul (PPIC) Ms. Soni Dahiya attended the festivities and wished the Bengali community a joyous Durgashtami.

Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parker visited the VDMA Headquarters in Frankfurt and interacted with Mr. Thilo Brodtmann, Executive Director, Dr. Ulrich Ackermann, MD and Mr. Oliver Wack, responsible for Foreign Trade on VDMA's operations in India and the opportunities to further strengthen cooperation between the Engineering Sectors in both the countries as well as tap the crucial area of skill in India.

On the occasion of the 100th Birth Anniversary of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay CGI Frankfurt organised an event showcasing the life of Panditji. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the members present and spoke about the relevance of Panditji's philosophy in the progress of modern India and reflected in the schemes and initiatives launched by the Indian Government. Ms. Elvira Greiner from the Andheri Hilfe presented the organisation's developmental work undertaken by the organisation towards health and education in India.

The FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 started from 6th & will be held till the 28th October 2017 in New Delhi, Goa, Kochi, Kolkata,Guwahati and Navi Mumbai. The opening ceremony of this event was held on 6th October, 2017 and the final match will be held in Kolkata on 28th October, 2017. With great pleasure, our Consulate team met the U-17 German team today and briefed them on India.
