    The Consulate General of India, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Ostwestfalia-Bielefeld and OWL Maschinenbau e.V organised a 'Make in India' Networking event in Bielefeld on 'Doing business with India: Opportunities & Challenges'. The objective of the event was to reach out to the German companies in that region and explain to them about the economic changes taken place in India, especially on the 'Make In India” initiative. The Speakers of the 'Make in India' event in Bielefeld were Mr. Raveesh Kumar, Consul General of India Frankfurt, Mr. Holger Nord, MD, OWL Maschinenbau E.V, Bielefeld; Dr. Wolf D. Meier-Scheuven., President, Chamber of Commerce, Ostwefalia-Bielefeld; Ms. Julia Seibert, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce, Duesseldorf; Herr Dr. Christian Mestwerdt, Head 3A-Africa; Asia, Australia -Dr. August Oetker, Nahrungsmittel KG, Bielefeld.Over 50 firms participated in the event.

The Consulate General of India, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Ostwestfalia-Bielefeld and OWL Maschinenbau e.V organised a "Make in India" Networking event in Bielefeld on "Doing business with India: Opportunities & Challenges". The objective of the event was to reach out to the German companies in that region and explain to them about the economic changes taken place in India, especially on the 'Make In India' initiative. The Keynote speaker for the event were Dr. Christian Mestwerdt, Head 3A. Africa; Asia, Australia from Dr. August Oetker, Nahrungsmittel KG, Bielefeld. Over 50 firms participated in the event.

    Young dancers presented many styles of Indian folk dances. VHS Frankfurt and Consulate General of India came together in organising a day-long India Day on 9 May 2015 at Volkshochschule (VHS -Adult Education school) in Frankfurt. Consul General of India Shri Raveesh Kumar, Head of Language Department, Mr.Bernd Eckhardt and Head of Studies in English Department, Ms. Liliya Karpynska inaugurated the the India Day. Representatives of Frankfurt City from Culture and Education departments were also there. An array of colourful programmes, introduction courses and free workshops, covering many aspects of Indian culture and Indo-German relationship were organised. There were dance and music programmes, a painting and a photography exhibition, Programme for children, Yoga workshops, Bollywood dance workshops, Saree show, Indian artefacts, Indian Bazaar and of course Indian food. A Panel discussion in which Indian experts from various fields like art, culture, business and films , was also held.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivering speech at the Inaugural function of the Hannover Messe at the Hannover Congress Centre. India is this year the partner country at Hannover Messe, world's biggest industrial trade fair.

    Consulate General of India, Frankfurt in cooperation with the City of Cologne organised the Finale of the series of roadshows in the run-up to the Hannover Messe 2015 at Cologne . The event was attended by the Lord Mayor of Cologne Mr Juegens Roters. Consul General Mr Raveesh Kumar delivered the Welcome Address. A presentation on the Make in India campaign was made by Ms Shubhra Singh, Joint Secretary, Department of Industrial policy and Promotion. Mr Praveen Singhal, CFO, Maier and Vidorno Marketing and Sales Pvt Ltd offered an insight into India Budget 2015. Two informative and engaging Panel Discussions were also held. The participants of the Panel discussions belonging to German and Indian companies shared their insights and best practices on the potential of doing business and 'making in India'.

    15th edition of 'India meets FrankfurtRheinMain - Let's talk business!' was organized on March 20, 2015 in Frankfurt with the theme 'Make in India' Initiative: Hannover Messe 2015, India a Partner Country - A boost to manufacturing sector'.
