    Second meeting of 'Kala Sangam' was held on 4th September, 2015, at the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt with a very interactive session on all aspects of promotion of Indian culture in Germany. The member artistes of Kalasangam came up with several new Ideas. 'Kala Sangam' was launched last year to bring all the good performing and visual artistes of the four states under the jurisdiction of CGI Frankfurt under one umbrella and give them more visibility through their performances.     Consulate General of India in Frankfurt celebrated ‘Hindi Diwas’ on 14th September in the Consulate. Consul General Shri Raveesh Kumar welcomed the guests and the speakers and shared with them the importance of Hindi in India and abroad. He also spoke about the objectives and measures by the Government of India in promotion of Hindi. The event was well attended by German students learning Hindi as well as scholars of Hindi, who actively participated in the event. A noted and many times awarded Hindi writer, living in Frankfurt, Dr. Indu Prakash Pandey’s two books were also presented on the occasion. There were other speakers from University of Mainz, University of Heidelberg, Literatur Forum e.V. and Indian Cultural Institute, Frankfurt.     A prestigious 5-member percussion group (ICCR) led by Tabla Maestro Shri Sadanand Naimpalli visited the cities of Bonn and Frankfurt and performed on 28th and 29th August respectively. The group consisted of Group Leader Pandit Sadanand Naimpalli(Tabla and Pakhawaj), Shri Anil Khairnar(Dholki),Shri Shankar Laxman (Ghatam and Mridangam),Shri Jayesh Rege(Tabla) and Shri Vijay Jadhav (Dhol). In Frankfurt they performed in the Golden Jubilee celebration of Bharat Verein, one of the prominent Indian cultural associations in Frankfurt, on 29th August 2015. The audience really enjoyed and appreciated the percussion ensemble. In the pic: The group performing in Bonn.
