    67th Republic Day of India Reception.

    The 67th Republic Day of India was celebrated at the Consulate premises in the morning of 26th January with traditional gaiety and fervor. After hoisting the National Flag and singing of the National Anthem, Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar read out the message of the Honâ_x0080__x0099_ble Rashtrapatiji, which was followed by patriotic songs by children groups from Indian Music Academy and studentsâ_x0080__x0099_ group from Darmstadt University. The event was attended by around 200 people from the Indian community

    Head of Chancery, Mr. Subhash Chand inaugurated the India Pavillion at the Heimtextil Fair in Frankfurt.

    Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar recently met the newly elected Lord Mayor of Bonn Mr. Ashok-Alexander Sridharan. Mr. Sridharan, of Indian origin, took on the office as the Lord Mayor on 13th September 2015 after winning the election with a landslide victory with a 50 percent vote.

    Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar undertook site visits to two companies in the region of Northrhine Westfalia, Hans Turck GmbH based in Muehlheim an der Ruhr and the headquarters of LEMKEN GmbH & Co. KG based in Alpen, Germany.

    Consul General Mr. Raveesh Kumar visited the Institut fuer Orient - und Asienwissenschaft (Institute for Oriental and Asia Studies) at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn and interacted with Head of Department Prof. Konrad Klau, lecturers and students of the department on the importance of Indological Studies in Germany.

    CGI Frankfurt organised the first 'Samvaad' session on the occasion of the Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas 2016.
