    Consul General of India Smt. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the ministerial & business delegation led by Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Shri Jai Ram Thakur in Frankfurt. The delegation will be participated in a roadshow and a series of meetings to promote Global Investors Meet to be held in September in Dharamsala.

    Two Days International Conference to mark 550th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev ji took place at Goethe University Frankfurt. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar delivered a speech on the occasion. Eminent scholars from the Germany & India participated in the two days conference.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar took part in the final celebration on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in ISR International School on the Rhine in Neuss, which had been running since a month. The celebrations included Gandhi exhibition, class room discussions, presentations and Consul General's visit. Ms Parkar addressed the children about Gandhi ji and presented the participating children with a token of appreciation. A student played a Gandhi bhajan on violin. Ms. Sukriti David Cappel, the main organiser of the event in the school also spoke to the students and quizzed them on Gandhi ji's life.

    Hon'ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Sri Jai Ram Thakur, during his visit to Frankfurt, met today Dr. Volker Wissing, Minister for Agriculture, Tourism, Transport and Viticulture for the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. Hon’ble CM extended invitation to the Government of Rhineland-Palatinate to participate on the Global Investors’ Meet to be held at Dharamshala in November 2019. As part of the outreach activity for attracting investments to the state, several potential areas of collaboration like Agriculture, Tourism, Transport and Infrastructure were discussed. Both sides showed keenness to enter into an MoU between the two states for possible collaborations.

    The delegation from Himachal Pradesh, led by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Sri Jai Ram Thakur, held a meeting with members of the German-India Round Table. Prominent members of the GIRT from different fields exchanged ideas on enhanced cooperation between Himachal and different German states. Exchanges in the field of culture as well as possible commercial collaborations in the fields of pharmaceutical, agriculture and infrastructure development were discussed.

    A very successful RoadShow on promoting Himachal Pradesh as an investment destination concludes today as the high level delegation from Himachal participated in this event organised with the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt and the Germany chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry CII. Speaking at the event was the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Jai Ram Thakur along with senior government officers who shared the core strong areas of the state including Agriculture, IT, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure development and Ayurveda, among others.

    Hon’ble CM of Himachal Pradesh Sri Jai Ram Thakur felicitates Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar, Consul Ms. Ruby Jaspreet and Ms. Lakshmi Mohan from the Confederation of Indian Industry (Germany) with a Himachali shawl and topi in an appreciation for the collective efforts made in coordinating the visit of the state delegation to Frankfurt.

    Supporting the cause FortheNextBillion, Consul General inaugurated the Frankfurt leg of the ER&D Hackathon by Larsen & Toubro Ltd technology services with support from the City of Frankfurt.

    CGI Frankfurt and representatives from Friends of India welcomed a very special guest at CGI Frankfurt, none other than the First Citizen of the city of Frankfurt, Oberbürgermeister Peter Feldmann. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed Lord Mayor to the Consulate premises and gave a detailed overview of the Consulate's activities.

    The 5th Anniversary of India Business Forum was celebrated in the Wirtschaftsregion Bergstrasse in cooperation with the Economic promotion Council of the Bergstrasse and Bergsträsser Winzer eG in Heppenheim. The Annual Reception commenced with the tour of Viniversum / BergstraesserWinzer conducted by Managing Director, Dr. Patrick Staub. Consul General welcomed the gathered IBF members and threw light on the current economic, and socio-political scene in India as well as shared the success of the Government's initiatives.
