Indian Ambassador to Germany, Ms. Mukta Datta Tomar and Consul General Frankfurt, Ms. Pratibha Parkar, attended the Indo German Chamber of Commerce Annual Reception in Düsseldorf. The IGCC which has around 6000 member companies works at strongly enhancing the Indo-German Economic Relations. The Annual Reception was attended by the important members representing the Indo-German economic and business fraternity.

Indien Fest concludes at Cologne on 29th June with thousands of people witnessing an extravaganza of Indian cultural and culinary delights. Indian associations representing different states came together to make this event a resounding success! More than 30 performances were put up at this mega event alongside food stalls showcasing more than 250 varieties of dishes. Bürgermeisterin Ms. Elfi Scho-Antwerpes inaugurated the Indien Fest organised with support from Indian Associations and the Cologne City authorities. The famous instrumentalists' band Maharaja Trio performed at the event enthralling the audience with their classical Indian music. The Indien Fest was organised for the first time in this historic city and was an experience cherished by local Germans, foreign tourists and Indian community members in large numbers!

Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar along with Ms. Lakshmi Lalita Mohan,Germany Head, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and representatives from the CGI Commercial Team met Mr. Dirk Mähr,CEO, Sanner GmbH at the company headquarters in Bensheim. Sanner is the world's leading manufacturer of desiccant closures and effervescent packaging solutions and also develops and produces high quality plastic packaging and components for pharmaceutical, medtech, diagnostics and healthcare products. Sanner succesfully launched business in India last year and is looking forward to expanding its Indian Investment.

A very successful #RoadShow on promoting #HimachalPradesh as an investment destination concludes today as the high level delegation from Himachal participated in this event organised with the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt and the Germany chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry #CII. Speaking at the event was the Hon’ble Chief Minister Sri Jai Ram Thakur along with senior government officers who shared the core strong areas of the state including Agriculture, IT, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure development and Ayurveda, among others.The show aimed at promoting the upcoming Global Investors’ Summit to be held this year in November at Dharamshala. Consul General Smt. Pratibha Parkar and MD from IHK Frankfurt Dr. Jürgen Ratzinger also spoke at the event about Indo-German partnership in trade and commerce. Representatives from private sector companies shared their highly positive experience of manufacturing in Himachal Pradesh. This highly successful event saw enthusiastic participation by close to a hundred people.

A Reception for Indian students visiting under a student exchange programme between the Rotary Club Nidda and Rotary Club Bombay Mid-Town was held on 15.5.2019 at Schotten. Mr Manfred Knoll, who has successfully organised this student exchange programme for the 8th year welcomed participants at the event in which the visiting Indian students gave a presentation about India and Mumbai City. The Consulate was represented at this event by Consul Mr. T.G.Ramesh who gave a presentation on the positive impact of Digitalisation in the lives of Indian citizens who now have access to a wide range of services in India over digital platforms.

CGI Frankfurt says a big Thank You to all the Indradhanush 2019 artists and coordinators for the resounding success of the event held in Eschborn. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar hosted all the artists at her official residence, thanked them for their efforts and team work as well as congratulated them for the outstanding performances.

Consul Ms. Ruby Jaspreet participated in the Consul’s Panel of Avrio Advocati’s Spring Conference 2019 on 24th May. She addressed the gathering on the economic growth of India over the last few decades and what makes India a favoured investment destination.The event organized in Frankfurt focused on investment opportunities in different countries including Indonesia, Thailand and Argentina amongst others. Consul Ms. Ruby Jaspreet also appraised the participants from different nations about the recent elections in India. Avrio-Advocati is an International Association of independent law firms from 40 countries founded 31 years ago, holding meetings twice a year in different countries, each time with about 70 to 80 participants.

The ER&D Hackathon & Bus Tour flagged off by Consul (Commerce) Ms. Ruby Jaspreet and Ms. Bettina Löhr, Economic Development, City of Düsseldorf on its German leg. Consul (Commerce) Ms. Ruby Jaspreet visited Pflegedienst Raunheim on Friday and interacted with the coordinators Mr. Surinder Kumar and Mr. Rahul Kumar. She interacted with the staff providing specially tailored services at home for the elderly and those recuperating from a medical illness. The center has trained personnel providing supportive services in addition to nursing care.
