    A very successful #RoadShow on promoting #HimachalPradesh as an investment destination concludes today as the high level delegation from Himachal participated in this event organised with the Consulate General of India, Frankfurt and the Germany chapter of Confederation of Indian Industry #CII. Speaking at the event was the Honâ_x0080__x0099_ble Chief Minister Sri Jai Ram Thakur along with senior government officers who shared the core strong areas of the state including Agriculture, IT, pharmaceuticals, infrastructure development and Ayurveda, among others.The show aimed at promoting the upcoming Global Investorsâ_x0080__x0099_ Summit to be held this year in November at Dharamshala. Consul General Smt. Pratibha Parkar and MD from IHK Frankfurt Dr. Jürgen Ratzinger also spoke at the event about Indo-German partnership in trade and commerce. Representatives from private sector companies shared their highly positive experience of manufacturing in Himachal Pradesh. This highly successful event saw enthusiastic participation by close to a hundred people.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar along with Ms. Lakshmi Lalita Mohan,Germany Head, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and representatives from the CGI Commercial Team met Mr. Dirk Mähr,CEO, Sanner GmbH at the company headquarters in Bensheim. Sanner is the world's leading manufacturer of desiccant closures and effervescent packaging solutions and also develops and produces high quality plastic packaging and components for pharmaceutical, medtech, diagnostics and healthcare products. Sanner succesfully launched business in India last year and is looking forward to expanding its Indian Investment.

    Frankfurt Tamil Sangam (FTS) celebrated this year's Tamil New Year by holding a Cultural Festival on 27 April 2019 at Frankfurt. Consulate General of India, Frankfurt was represented by Mr. T.G.Ramesh (Consul), at this event. Winner of the Dance reality show "Ungalil Yaar Prabhu Deva 2" Karthik, who came from India to participate in this event was felicitated at this event. The cultural fest featured a number of cultural items, many performed by children.

    As part of students outreach activities, a group of 26 Indian and German students and teachers visited Consulate who were part of students exchange programme between Rabanus-Maurus School Fulda from Hessen and General Raj's School from New Delhi.The students were accompanied with their teachers. Ms. Ruby Jaspreet,Consul (Economy&C and Pol.) and Mr. Prem Singh Consul (Press, Information & Culture) received them and interacted with them. The students and teachers of both the schools shared their experiences and also asked many questions about Indo-German bilateral relations.

    The Consulate hosted a second quarterly meet of the member of Friends of India at the Consulate premises on of on 2nd May. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar addressed the gathered members and briefed on the Consular, Commercial & Cultural activities of the Consulate. Mr. Klaus Klipp (Director in the Legal Dept. City of Frankfurt) was the guest speaker to the event. Mr. Klipp briefed the audience on the Union of European Federalists (UEF), their activities & Why People of India Matter for the Future of the European Union.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar and Consul( Political/ E&C & Consular), Ms. Ruby Jaspreet met with Mr. Miguel Vicente, Commissioner for Migration and Integration for the State of Rhineland Palatinate. They discussed on topics and issues pertaining to migration and integration.

    CGI Frankfurt in cooperation with GloMan Consulting GmbH organised a session on "The Indo-German business collaboration through Risk Sharing Partnerships" to discuss the opportunities in four Southern States of India, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. As part of the event, Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the participants and shared her views on the robust Indo-German economic partnerships especially getting boosted under the Make in India.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar and Consul Ms. Ruby Jaspreet met with Ms. Nancy Faeser, Member of State Parliament of Hessen and General Secretary of Hessen division of Social Democratic Party at Wiesbaden. Topics and issues of mutual interest were discussed, like European Parliament elections in Germany and National elections in India.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar visited the International University of Applied Sciences in Bad Honnef, (IUBH). Its a private, state recognised university of business and management. It offers on-Campus degree programmes in English, apart from dual study in German language and also online in English and German. Ms. Parkar met Mr. Jens Heidorn, Head of International Recruitment & Admission and Prof. Dr. Florian Hummel.

    Consulate General of India in Frankfurt organised a Book Reading session by Ms. Sara Rai, a renowned contemporary Indian writer, editor and translator of modern Hindi and Urdu fiction. Ms. Sara Rai read excerpts from her book ‘Bhoolbhulayian’, which has been translated into German and published by Draupadi Verlag, 'Im Labyrinth'. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar gave the welcome remarks. Mr. Christian Weiss, MD, Draupadi Verlag spoke about the translation of the book and Ms. Heidi Pandey conducted the event. Dr. Induprakash Pandey, renowned Hindi and German writer in Germany also spoke on the occasion. The event was in coordination with Draupadi Verlag and Indian Cultural Institute.
