    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met the members of Deutsch Indische Gesellschaft Darmstadt- Frankfurt e.V. (DIG Darmstadt-Frankfurt) at the Consulate. On the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, DIG Darmstadt-Frankfurt is organizing events on Mahatma Gandhi from September to December.

    Consulate General of India in Frankfurt in association with Frankfurt Indian Scholars Association (FISA) organised first Student Open House for 2019. Since 2014, annually two such open houses take place for Indian students where they can get information about job market and other elements related to professions to pursue after completion of their studies as well as info on living in Germany. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar addressed the students and Ms. Soni Dahia, Consul (PIC) spoke about the Consulate outreach activities.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar visited the headquarters of the Brita GmbH and interacted with Mr. Markus Hankammer, CEO BRITA Group and Oliver Schilling, Director Corporate Development, General Management. During the visit, Consul General also had an opportunity to visit the production unit as well as the R&D centre. Dr. Sabine Rohlff, Director Group Corporate Communications & Spokesperson coordinated the visit.

    CG Ms. Pratibha Parkar and prominent members of the Indian business community interacted with Mr. Jeffrey Goh, CEO, StarAlliance in Frankfurt. Discussions revolved around Star Alliance operations globally as well as the organisation's plans for the future.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar participated in the celebration of Sant Guru Sri Ravidasji maharaj jayanti at the Gurughar in Frankfurt on 24 March 2019, celebrating the 641st anniversary of the birth of Guru Ravidas. A prayer meeting was organised with 'Amritbani Guru Ravidass Ji',their holy book. Guru Ravidas (1377-1527 C.E.) was a famous saint of the Bhakti Movement. His devotional songs and verses made a lasting impact upon the Bhakti Movement.

    The members of Indian community along with consul (pic) Ms. Soni Dahiya took part in the initiative by KAV and visited the historical museum Bonn. KAV aims to integrate people from various nations through these programs.

    As part of the Consulate’s effort to reach out to representatives of major cities in the Consulate’s jurisdiction, Consul (Commerce), Ms. Ruby Jaspreet, met the Head of the International Business Service of the City of Düsseldorf, Ms. Annette Klerks. Ms. Klerks spoke about large presence of Indian business enterprises in Düsseldorf. Furthering Indo-German collaboration was discussed.

    As part of the visit to Düsseldorf, Consul (Commerce) Ms. Ruby Jaspreet visited the Digihub Düsseldorf/Rheinland, a matchmaker and accelerator for SMEs, startups, universities and corporations. Dr. Klemens Gaida, Managing Director of the Digihub and Ms. Maria Hertleif, Strategy and Operations Manager, gave an introduction to the Digihub followed by a tour of its facilities. Possibilities for an Indian collaboration with the Digihub was discussed.

    CG Ms. Pratibha Parkar met and interacted with former India correspondant, Das Erste ARD, Mr. Jürgen Osterhage at CGI Frankfurt and discussed about the perception of India in German media in detail.

    Consul General was today interviewed by Mr. Eike Knall (Director Marketing) Antenne Frankfurt for the upcoming cultural events of the Consulate for the Year 2019. We extend our sincere thanks to Antenne Frankfurt for being our Media Partner.
