    Ms.Ruby Jaspreet, Consul (Commerce, Consular & Political) visited the International Leather Goods Fair (ILM) on 18th February at Offenbach Messe one of the world's leading international fairs for leather bags & luggage industry. Around 300 exhibitors from all over the world are participating in the Fair this year

    Partnerland Empfang Indien: Partner Country Reception India. The partner country reception, a highlight of the fair was organised on the 11th February to honour the guest country. Messe Frankfurt CEO, Mr. Detlef Braun lauded the diversity and incredible handicrafts of India, that marks the country different from other countries. CG Ms. Pratibha Parkar presented insights on the handicraft and textile scene in India.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met with Mr. Hans Beckmann, State Secretary, Ministry for Education & Prof. Dr. Salvatore Barbaro, State Secretary for Science, Higher Education and Culture at the Rhineland Palatinate Ministry for Science, Higher Education and Culture, Mainz.

    An India evening was organised by Ministry of Textiles in cooperation with CGI Frankfurt and EPCH India on the sidelines of Ambiente 2019 for the Indian exhibitors. Ambiente 2019 had a record participation by Indian exhibitors with over 500 exhibitors participating in the fair.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar visited Technical University Kaiserslautern and met with the President, Prof. Dr. Helmut J Schmidt. She also met Dr. Stefan Löhrke, Vice President for Studies and Academics and Dr. (Ms.) Parya Memar, Head of International Affairs - ISGS. Ms. Nikita Haupt, Indian Group "Indian Students Association Kaiserslautern (ISAK)" was also present.T

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met with Ms. Martina Werner, Member of EuropeanParliament in Kassel. They had an engaging discussion on Brexit and the outcomes of Brexit on European Parliament and especially Germany.

    Officials of CGI, Frankfurt along with the members of Indian community paying homage to Gandhi ji on his death Anniversary and remembering all the freedom fighters who fought for the independence of the nation on Martyrs' Day on 30th January.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar delivered the keynote address on strides achieved by the Indian economy in the last four years at a session on 'The Rise of India: investment opportunities in the world's largest democracy and fastest growing economy' organised by Elstone Limited at CFA Institute in Frankfurt.
