    Team CGI, Frankfurt celebrated Deepawali on 7th Nov 2018

    The last meeting of Friends of India for 2018 was held on 8th November 2018 at CGI Frankfurt premises. The meeting was chaired by the Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar. Mr. Jumas Medoff, chairman of KAV - Kommunale AusländerVertretung - Foreigners Advisor Council of City of Frankfurt, was the main speaker for the event. During his speech he mentioned that the City of Frankfurt looks forward to working closely with the Indian community in the upcoming years.

    India was represented by Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar, Ms. Vandana Mehrotra, CEO, State Bank of India Germany and Mr. Loknath Mishra, MD & CEO, ICICI Bank, UK at the Opening Conference at the prestigious EURO FINANCE WEEK 2018, 21st edition.The panel was a power talk on the economic and financial achievements of India and was moderated by Ms. Inken Schönauer, Editor-in-Chief, Euro Finance Magazine. The Euro Finance Week is a renowned annual conference organised by dfv Euro Finance Group, based in Frankfurt am Main.

    The Association of Indian Students in Aachen, in association with the Consulate General of India in Frankfurt, organized the Indo-German Symposium 2018 on the 14th of November at the RWTH Aachen University. Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar did the kick off of the event and presented the welcome remarks followed by the remarks of Prof. Dr. Ulrich Rüdiger, the new Rector of the RWTH Aachen University.

    On 15th November Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar attended and delivered the Opening Remarks at a roadshow organised by Kerala Tourism in Frankfurt, organised in cooperation with 12 trade partners, including hotels and tour operators. At the event around 40 outbound tour operators got a glimpse of Kerala God’s own country from a new perspective in a presentation delivered by Ms. Rani George, Secretary, Kerala Tourism. Mr. Sanjiv Kumar Vashist, Assistant Director India Tourism also addressed the gathering.

    Deutsch Indische Gesellschaft (DIG) Düsseldorf organised a gala Diwali Fest on 16th November 2018 in Düsseldorf. As part of the event, a theatrical performance on Jatayu Moksha by artist Kalajyoti from India was organised. Consul General attended the celebrations and wished the gathered members of the Indian diaspora as well as friends of India the very best for Deepawali. Over 300 members attended the festivities.

Consul General attended the celebrations and wished the gathered members of the Indian diaspora as well as friends of India the very best for Deepawali. Over 300 members attended the festivities.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar inaugurated the 7th Edition of the India Leather Days along with Mr. Arnd Heinrich Kappe, CEO, Messe Offenbach, Mr. Stephan Färber, City Councillor, City of Offenbach and Ms. Silvia Schubert, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Offenbach in Offenbach today. The India Leather Days in Germany is a buyer seller meet organised by the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) in cooperation with Messe Offenbach at Offenbach trade fair grounds. The event features the exhibition of leather goods/accessories such as bags, wallets, purses etc., as well as leather garments from Indian exporters only. Around 30 exhibitors from different regions of India, having experience in export, are displaying the latest samples of leather, leather goods, leather garments and accessories at the Fair, which will be held on 19th and 20th November 2018.
