The Municipal representation of foreigners (KAV) of the city of Frankfurt honored the outstanding personalities with a migration from the fields of culture, economics, science and education, who have made significant contributions to and for Frankfurt on 06.12.2018. This year 37 people were honored (with migration background from 30 countries). This also included two Indians Mr. Benesh Joseph (Scientist, Goethe University, Frankfurt) and Mr. Jaskaran Singh (student at Frankfurt Schools of Economics).

Ambulanter Pflege dienst and Senioren Tagespflege (Outpatient and senior day care), Frankfurt, owned by an Indian Family, organised its annual event for its patients and office colleagues and celebrated together the Christmas and the New Year time with both Indian and German traditions. Ms. Soni Dahiya, Consul, attended the celebration on behalf of the Consulate.

The Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar and the Consul (Comm. Pol.and Cons.) Ms. Ruby Jaspreet met Mr. Weinmeister, State Secretary, European Affairs, Hessen and discussed on the recent developments in relation to Brexit and its effects on the State of Hesse. He further encouraged Indian companies to consider the State of Hesse for their European Headquarters.

Mata Amritanandamayi Amma was in Hessen state on 2nd and 3rd November 2018. During her stay she held a session for the people of Germany spreading message of love, compassion and service to the society. Consul General and Mr. Willi Kredel, Mayor of Brombachtal were present during the function.

The last meeting of Friends of India for 2018 was held on 8th November 2018 at CGI Frankfurt premises. The meeting was chaired by the Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar. Mr. Jumas Medoff, chairman of KAV - Kommunale AusländerVertretung - Foreigners Advisor Council of City of Frankfurt, was the main speaker for the event.

India being represented by Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar, Ms. Vandana Mehrotra, CEO, State Bank of India Germany and Mr. Loknath Mishra, MD & CEO, ICICI Bank, UK at the Opening Conference at the prestigious EURO FINANCE WEEK 2018, 21st edition.
