    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar inaugurated the 7th Edition of the India Leather Days along with Mr. Arnd Heinrich Kappe, CEO, Messe Offenbach, Mr. Stephan Färber, City Councillor, City of Offenbach and Ms. Silvia Schubert, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Offenbach in Offenbach today. The India Leather Days in Germany is a buyer seller meet organised by the Council for Leather Exports (CLE) in cooperation with Messe Offenbach at Offenbach trade fair grounds. The event features the exhibition of leather goods/accessories such as bags, wallets, purses etc., as well as leather garments from Indian exporters only. Around 30 exhibitors from different regions of India, having experience in export, are displaying the latest samples of leather, leather goods, leather garments and accessories at the Fair, which will be held on 19th and 20th November 2018.

    New Generations Independent Indian Film Festival was organised by ‘Indian Vibes Neues Generationen e.V, in Frankfurt from 16th - 18th November, 2018. “Indian Vibes Neue Generationen e.V.”, Frankfurt, features art and culture of second and third generation South Asians. Ms. Soni Dahiya, Consul (PIC) attended the opening ceremony and extended her greetings on behalf of the Consulate General of India Frankfurt to the organizer and the gathered international audience on the occasion.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar visited Claas corporate headquarters in Harsewinkel, Westphalia and met with Dr. Jens Oeding, Regional President Asia,CLAAS Global Sales GmbH. CLAAS GmbH & Co. KGaA is a family-owned enterprise and is one of the world's leading manufacturers of agricultural engineering equipment. CLAAS is the market leader in combine harvesters and has a production unit in Punjab,India which caters to the South East Asian ,Middle East and African Markets.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met Mr. Jörg Bannach (Head of Ordnungsamt, Frankfurt) at his office today to discuss & plan the Indian cultural events for the upcoming year 2019. CG thanked Mr. Bannach & his office for the hospitality shown which helped the Consulate & the Indian communities put up great events throughout the year.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar met Prof. Dr. Anja Steinbeck, President of the HeinrichHeineUniversität Düsseldorf along with Prof. Dr. Andrea von Hülsen-Esch, Vice President for International Relations, Study programmes and Streams for International students on 22 November. They gave a brief presentation on their university and expressed that the young university is endeavouring to internationalise its courses and study programmes.

    Consul General Ms. Pratibha Parkar welcomed the members of the working committee of European Marathi Sammelan (EMS) at the Consulate. The members will be hosting the Sammelan (Get-together) after 20 years in Germany. The event will start from 17th to 19th July 2020 at Dolce Hotel, Bad Nauheim.

    Consul (Commerce) Ms. Ruby Jaspreet attended the Health ingredients (Hi) Europe & Natural ingredients (Ni) Trade Fair in Frankfurt and interacted with the Indian exhibitors participating in the trade fair, facilitated through SHEFEXIL (Shellac & Forest Products Export Promotion Council) . Over 450 exhibitors and more than 8000 trade visitors from 94 countries attended the global event.

    On 29th November an event on 'Digital Transformation in India: Achieving financial inclusion for 1 billion citizens?' was organised by the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management in cooperation with CGI Frankfurt and Society for International Development, Frankfurt Chapter.
