    Friends of India meeting 2017

    Hon'ble Minister of Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ravi Shankar Prasad, accompanied by a high level delegation visited Germany to represent India at the G20 Digital Ministers Meeting in Düsseldorf, on 6-7 April 2017. During the visit ,Hon’ble Minister addressed an Indian Diaspora event at Dusseldorf. The event was attended by prominent members of the Indian Diaspora, IT professionals, bankers, businessmen, members PSUs based in Frankfurt and others on 7th April. He spoke about the transformative initiatives of the Government of India to make India a developed nation at the earliest and acquire global respect. The meeting was attend by more than50 persons.

    On 1st April, Telugu Velugu Germany (TVG) e.V. organised their annual Ugadi Festival in Frankfurt with a ensemble of dance and musical performances. Consul General addressed the diaspora on the occasion and wished the gathered audience a very happy new year. Over 300 people attended the celebrations.

    Make in India' initiatives

    The third batch of Hindi classes has successfully been completed on 31st March and the students were handed over the certificate of attendance.

    India meets FrankfurtRhineMain – Let’s talk business!

    A business luncheon for representatives of prominent Indian companies in Frankfurt Rhine Main region was hosted by the Hon'ble Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Agriculture and Viticulture for the State of Rhineland Palatinate, Dr. Volker Wissing in cooperation with the Consulate General of India Frankfurt in the picturesque town of Oppenheim. In his welcome remarks, Consul General highlighted the growing cooperation between India and Rhineland Palatinate and emphasized on the need for a deeper and consistent bilateral engagement. Hon'ble Minister Dr. Volker Wissing shared insights on the current relevant topics of 'Smart Farming' and 'Digital technology in Agriculture' and delved into the possible areas of cooperation between the State and India.
